Oof animations are hard

Y'all I thought animating gifs would be like a quick thing that I can get done in a few hours but DAMN maybe photoshop isn't the place to do them bc it takes a heccin long time

College Applications Suck

My problem isn't with writing the essay. I can write an essay if it's like kind of casual and I don't have to be like ~no "I" statements~ and ~don't use contractions~ and ~MaInTaIn A fOrMaL sTyLe~
The problem is there's nothing to write about. My life is boring as fuck as you can probably tell from the maybe 20 posts I have on this blog that's been running since 2014 XD
Anyway, I'm just complaining. I'd better get back to work now.

I am the epiphany of inconsistency

Why do I do this? I ask myself as I continue to not really give a shit about keeping up with this blog.
I guess I'm just not really the type to write things down... like ever. The thing is, I used to update occasionally from my school computer (because if I have free time I look like I'm being productive when I type on a computer instead of my phone), but now they've blocked blogger so I can't update from school anymore (rip), and whenever I'm at home I end up spending my free time on cat videos and memes instead of this blog.
So, sorry, I guess XD In my actual real life I'm starting the college application process, and once I get in to somewhere I'm sure it'll be easier to log onto blogger in my free time since I'll have my own computer. However, I doubt I'll have much time to myself in college. From what I've heard (which is very little), a college student's free time is taken up completely by homework and maybe 5 hours of sleep, so I may be just as inactive as I've been in high school.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure it's just my mom who reads this blog right now (hi mom) so I guess no one's really missing out! Maybe I'll find something interesting to talk about in college and actually remember to check in more than once every 4 months. We'll see.

P.S. I used to write this from the point of view of one of my characters (also named Jay) because I was trying not to share too much about my personal life, but seeing as nothing ever happens in my life anyway, I might as well drop the charade and just post as myself. I'm too lazy to go back and change my previous posts so just know that there's a reasonable explanation for what I did XD

3rd of July Fireworks

Because doing it on the 4th of July is too much trouble, even though the week already started. I don't understand these humans. If you're going to explode fireworks on a Monday night and not on the weekend, why not just do it on the actual 4th of July?

There were lots of colorful lights. It was nice. I'm going to sleep.

I went to Washington DC on Earth Day!

I participated in the March for Science, and also went to some cool museums. I love museums.
Anyway, here are some pictures I took!
It was really raining during the March. I left early because I hate getting wet and my sign was completely soaked anyway. However, I did see some really great signs and a lot of salty humans. It was very fun. 10/10 would march again... if it didn't rain.

Midterms!

As I'm sure many students are aware, it's the end of the semester and that means… exams! I'm no exception. I've got a global history midterm today and a chemistry midterm tomorrow. Wish me luck~

I'm literally never on here

Happy new year y'all! It's been... a while since my last post. I know. I don't give this blog as much attention as I give my instagram. Blogger really needs a good mobile app, you know? I only remember to post to my instagram and check tumblr because I have the app.
Anyway, school is a thing still. I've got 2 years left in high school (not counting this year since it's halfway done already), then I'll go... somewhere else for more school cuz I just can't get enough.
I also never posted pictures of my Montreal trip, so I'll do some Time Travel!!!1!! and post it a little after I got back.

The Insectarium

Next to the Biodome there's an insect museum called the Insectarium. I don't remember seeing any live insects, though I think there was a butterfly garden? That may have been another museum. They all look the same when you've visited enough of them.

Rice Paper Butterfly? I think?

This is the cool thing where a butterfly is both male and female. In a species with sexual dimorphism, this is what happens. The butterfly probably couldn't fly very well, but it still looks really majestic.

Some weird species of preying mantis I don't know the name of. I'm not an entomologist.

Probably a monarch butterfly, but I think this is the one that isn't actually poisonous and imitates the monarch's coloring.

These are from the Botanical Garden outside the Insectarium. I didn't get any more pictures because I was kind of tired of taking photos at that point and I was hungry, so I went to get food.

The Biodome

On the second day, I went to the Biodome, which is just a big biology museum. It's also a repurposed Olympic stadium, according to the internet. There were lots of cool animals there. Everything was in English and French, which I thought was pretty cool.
